Autriya Irani B.Sc (she/her)
Student Therapist

Hi, I’m Autriya! I’ve always been fascinated by the different ways we think, feel, and experience the world around us. I believe therapy offers an opportunity to better understand ourselves, explore our experiences with curiosity and compassion, and find meaningful ways to grow. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that everyone’s journey looks a little different.

I work with children, adolescents, and adults navigating a range of challenges, including depression, ADHD, autism, grief, emotional difficulties and adjustment to traumatic injuries or significant life changes. I have a particular interest in helping individuals better understand themselves, their emotions, and their identities, including neurodivergent individuals navigating high masking or later-in-life diagnoses. I also offer parent coaching informed by Emotion-Focused Family Therapy (EFFT), supporting parents in understanding their children’s emotional needs, strengthening their relationships, and navigating challenges with greater confidence.

My approach combines emotional exploration with practical strategies, drawing from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Emotion-Focused Family Therapy (EFFT), and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT). I tailor our work to your unique experiences, strengths, and goals.

Alongside my therapeutic work, I bring several years of experience in psychological assessment with children, adolescents, and adults, which has shaped my appreciation for the many ways we experience and navigate the world. I hold an Honours Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Toronto and am currently completing my Master of Clinical Psychology at Adler Graduate Professional School in Toronto.

Outside of my clinical work, I’m also a registered yoga teacher with a love for animals, nature, mindfulness, meditation and sound healing.

Whether you’re looking to better understand yourself, navigate a difficult chapter, or make meaningful changes in your life, my hope is to offer a space where you feel comfortable showing up exactly as you are.

Please note: I am currently offering therapy as a student therapist under clinical supervision, with reduced rates and sliding-scale options available to help make therapy more accessible. Please feel free to ask for more details.
