Learn about Our Assessment Process

True View Psychology, previously known as Dr. Lin & Associates, is widely known for our comprehensive, in-depth and thorough diagnostic and psychoeducational assessments. These are the basic steps of that process.

From a client’s first communication with our admin team, we provide them with detailed information regarding our process and answer any questions. Once they’re ready, we’ll send out intake forms and a booking link to schedule the intake session.

STEP 1 - GETTING STARTED

The client (or parent/guardian) will meet with a senior member of our assessment team to discuss background, family history and all relevant details to the requested assessment. Once completed the initial invoice will be sent out.

STEP 2 - INITIAL CONSULT & BILLING

After the initial payment has been received, they’ll be sent a welcome email outlining the next steps and requirements for data collection from client and other informants (family, teachers etc) and instructions for scheduling all online and in-person assessments.

STEP 3 - DATA COLLECTION & ASSESSMENT

Once all of the data has been collected and the assessments have been completed, the analysis and summarizing begins. This collaborative process ensures that all observations and results are thoroughly reviewed and assessed to ensure accuracy in the final diagnoses and recommendations provided in the final report.

STEP 4 - REPORT PREPARATION

STEP 5 - FEEDBACK SESSION & RECOMMENDATIONS

Once the client’s report has been completed, they will be contacted to schedule their feedback session with Dr. Lin. During that session, Dr. Lin will review the findings of the assessment and discuss any recommendations regarding after care or follow-ups.

Following the feedback session with Dr. Lin, the client (or parent/guardian) will receive the final invoice to be paid. Once payment has been received, a secure, password-protected file will be sent to the client to complete the assessment process.
