Brittany Cooper, M.A., C.Psych.Assoc. (she/her)
Hi, I’m Brittany, a Psychological Associate with over a decade of experience in psychology and mental health. My professional experience spans psychological assessment and diagnosis, counselling, psychotherapy, clinical supervision, and leadership. I bring together clinical expertise, practical experience, and a genuine commitment to helping others understand themselves, navigate challenges, and move toward meaningful change.
As a member of the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario (CPBAO), I have completed extensive postgraduate training, clinical practice, and professional examinations as part of my journey toward registration. This experience reflects my commitment to ongoing professional development and to providing thoughtful, ethical, and evidence-informed psychological care. I earned my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from McGill University in 2016 and my Honours Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto in 2013.
My approach to assessment is both skilled and individualized, recognizing that every person brings their own unique experiences, strengths, and needs. Drawing on my background in both counselling and psychological assessment, I strive to create a comfortable, supportive environment where clients feel heard, understood, and respected. I recognize the challenges that people of all ages can face, while also appreciating our capacity for growth, resilience, and positive change, even in the face of significant barriers.
I view psychological assessment as an opportunity to develop a deeper understanding of ourselves—not simply to identify areas of difficulty, but also to recognize strengths, uncover possibilities, and build a clearer path forward. I value a warm, collaborative approach that honours each person’s individuality, autonomy, and lived experience. It is a privilege to work alongside children, adolescents, and adults to identify meaningful goals, build on existing strengths, and develop practical strategies that support their well-being and success in everyday life.
I believe that everyone deserves to feel understood, valued, and empowered. I am passionate about providing inclusive, compassionate care that respects diversity and supports each individual in finding a path forward that feels right for them.
Outside of my work, I’m married and a proud mom of two young children. I love spending time outdoors and appreciating the beauty of the natural world. Music and literature are also important parts of my life, offering inspiration, perspective, and a welcome opportunity to slow down and reconnect.
